Press Statement

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

Peshawar Massacre Condemned

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) expresses its shock and horror at the massacre of 132 school children in Peshawar. Another 120 have been seriously injured. The Party denounces this unspeakable atrocity committed by the Tehrik-e-Taliban which shows their inhuman and depraved state of mind.

The Polit Bureau extends its heartfelt condolences and shares the anguish of the parents and families of those have been killed. The CPI(M) expresses its solidarity with the people of Pakistan who are facing this terrorist violence. Both India and Pakistan should cooperate to put an end to the depredations of the extremist-terrorist groups.
