Oh, you Hindu awake!

In the name of teaching comparative religion, the Mumbai–based Islamic Research Foundation ridicules Hinduism and Christianity

The booklet with the above title has been published by the Save Hinduism Campaign Committee, Calcutta. Written by a Hindu who is an M.A, PhD. — from the US at that — the booklet is ideal for the purposes of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). The US degrees are presumably convincing proof of the complete veracity of the author’s views in the eyes of the ‘educated’ section of the Muslims that the IRF caters to.

The author, Dr. Radha Kamal Chatterjee, writes in his introduction to the booklet:
“What do our holy books and religion tell us? How many gods do we have? What do they tell us about our human gods, viz., Rama, Sita, Shiva, Parvathi, Brahma, Ganesh and Krishna? Can one not see the pornography and incest in their stories? I, for one, would not read them to my mother, daughter or sister. Would you? What if a foreigner should ask us about Lingam and Youni? Our claims about vibooti, sun–worship, urine–drinking etc., prove our ‘ignorance’.”

In the last section of the booklet, the author writes:
“The Ramayana and the Mahabharta are no doubt GREAT (cock and bull) stories, but they are also stories that belong to India’s ancient past. We cannot scientifically or factually prove the authenticity of these tales, and as such, we cannot accept Hinduism as a religion.

To reach God, treating fellow human beings with love, justice and equal rights is a duty upon the believer. Most religions preach these ideals...On the other hand Hinduism teaches a man how to cheat and enslave people in the name of ‘Religion’. With this technique 5% (Brahmins) of India’s population have control over 95% of its people.
In fact Hinduism is brahminism. None but a Brahmin is a Hindu.”

The back cover of the book carries a “WARNING”:
“This book is not meant for decorating your bookshelf, but for circulation amongst others as fast as you can so that we can save our MOTHERLAND, its unity and integrity”.

A pamphlet on Christianity  carries the title “JESUS WAS NOT A SINNER, BUT...” on the cover. The story continues inside:

“...The new testament proves: Yes, he was. The Quran proves: No, he was not.”
The pamphlet, using a question–answer format, quotes various passages from the Bible, torn out of context and without any holistic view of the text to ‘prove’ that the Bible paints Jesus in bad light. What follows below is a verbatim reproduction:

“Question 1: Is it a sin to preach hate?
The Christian will have to answer — ‘YES’.
Jesus says: ‘If any man come to me, and hate not his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters and yea, and even his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.’ (Luke 14:26)

It must be clear to all that the believers of the New Testament (present day Christians) bluff everyone when they say, ‘We love you’. If they believe in Jesus of the Bible, then HATE for their near and dear ones is fundamental. How can they ever love outsiders like us?

Question 2: If a person orders the slaying of his enemies who will not allow him to rule over them, is he a sinner or not?

The answer from any person from any religion especially Christianity will be a resounding ‘YES’.
Then read what Jesus says in the New Testament: ‘But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring them hither and slay them before me.’ (Luke 19:27)

This statement sounds more in keeping with the sinful commands of Hitler, Attila, Mussolini, Ghenghis Khan and other Butchers of the world.”

The pamphlet ends with the words:
“It is unfortunate that the Christian scriptures depict Hazrat Eisa (Jesus) — on whom be peace, in such a bad and sinful light... The Quran on the other hand exonerates and absolves the magnificent personality of Jesus Christ from the false charges of the believers of the New Testament.”

Yet another pamphlet (above) seeks to teach Muslims how to get rid of ‘pesky missionaries’ who come to propagate the Bible. It shows a smug Indian Muslim defeating a Christian missionary — a foreigner named John — by quoting verses in the Bible that say no poison would affect a believer. Ahmed, the Muslim character, offers him a glass of strawberry–flavoured caustic soda, which John must drink in order to prove his faith. John runs away rather than face the trial. This pamphlet is not produced by the IRF, but is part of the free literature it distributes.
